Saw the bus pull up while watching tv so I jumped up and ran outside, talked to the bus driver... Lilly was asleep, lol. She woke up when I brought her in though and she's now enjoying lunch while playing games at pbskids.com! They sent a newsletter home with her in her backpack... wow.. I'm a mom, lol. Feels weird being the parent and not the student.

Lilly just left not too long ago on the bus... for the first time ever. I cried, I'm a wuss, I know. I was hoping World of Warcraft would just have restarts today, but nope, the usual downtime. So now I have nothing to take my mind off of Lilly.
I know it's not much of an update, but my life is boring anyway.

So I was browsing the net looking for different styles of art, sketches, etc, when I came across a site called:
www.ratemydrawings.com
Yeah, sounds like the typical 'post a picture' rating community, but it's not, It's actually a lot of fun and I don't even care about what my 'ratings' are. Basicly, you create your 'art' in a paint like program on the site, then, when it's finished you submit it, it will go in your profile for all to see, but that's not all of it. When one clicks on your 'art' they actually get to see it being 'drawn' in replay. It's really fun to watch others and your own works. I highly suggest checking it out. :p

I never update anymore because I never really have anything new to report on. Same thing goes for when my sister calls me. It makes me feel bad at times because she acts like I don't want to talk to her, when the truth is I just don't have anything to talk about, lol.

I would post some pictures for an update, but I have a new camera and I don't have the cable to connect it to the pc. I ended up buying a memory card thingy that hooks up... but now I can't find that, lol.
Lilly is doing well. She's getting so big. I'm.... well I'm still here neglecting updates. The usual.

After a recent talk with a friend I heard that Britney Spears shaved her head? Anywaaaaay... it got me thinking of this flash video where they keep showing picture of Britney where her breast get larger and smaller, back and forth, either way I laughed my ass off, I tried looking for it again... no luck. :( I think ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) roxy_star linked the video her lj (yeah, YOU) but I could be wrong... anyone know what I"m talking about and where I might be able to find it?

Yes, I'm a bad updater, shame on me.
Lilly can hear. They activated her implants though right now it's really low so she's not hearing a whole lot, we go back Thursday to get it turned up. One of the most common questions I get is if I notice any difference with her, or responses, the answer is no, not too much. They told me that she won't respond to a lot of stuff right now because it's so low. She does react when I first turn it on though, she's covers her face like she's shy, then she's just plain ol' Lilly. I'll be posting a few pictures later of her with her implant on so everyone can see what it looks like. If anyone has any questions on the topic, feel free to ask.

We did get a harness for her implants today in the mail, it helps hold the "pack", I guess you'll have to see it to understand it, but I will post pictures later.
I'm addicted to World of Warcraft again. Feel free to drop me a message in Kel'Thuzad, the name is "Blyth". And yes, I named her after "Drew Blythe Barrymore" got a problem with it?

Lilly is going to be little red riding hood for halloween. I went out and bought three pumpkins. Since Lilly is still too young to handle a knife, I went to walmart and bought this foam like paper material in different colors with a sticky back. We went home, I cut up the peices to make eyes, a mouth and whatnot and let her place them on her pumpkin wherever she wished. She had tons of fun. Last night I carved my own pumpkin, just for her. I hand drew out a design with Dora on it in her kitty ears (those of you have see the Halloween eposiods will know what I'm talking about). It turned out really well. My first pumpkin I've ever done where I did EVERYTHING all by myself. :p So now the fun part... Pictures!

Yesterday we had to go back to baltimore for a follow up, mainly to make sure there was no infection. Good new, there wasn't, he said everything is as it should be and she could finally get it wet, later that night she ended up taking an hour long bath. Her ear is still swollen and will be for a month or so. He also told me to call and set up an appointment with another woman, and in a few weeks we'll go and finally have it activated... and she should be able to hear, for the first time. I know I'm gonna cry when she does. Damn my girly emotions. Here's some more pictures I took trying to show her boo-boo.

| The Long Overdue... Update |

I know I haven't updated on anything yet, sorry about that, been tied up (with WoW) heh, I tease (but not really). So, due to a buuuuunch of pictures I'm going to split it up into three posts today. Aren't you a lucky so and so?
Wendsday the 18th at 6:30am we were at Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) for Lilly's implant. We, or I got to fill out a bunch of forms and papers on allergies and insurance, all that super fun paperwork. Finally, it was time. Kris, Lilly, and myself went into a changing room, I got Lilly into her gown and myself into this giant blue jumper that fits over your clothes. Lilly and I alone then went into the surgery room and I had to hold her as they held the little bubble gum sented mask on her that would put her to sleep, but Lilly was a fighter, so we had to pin her down, which I hated because she was looking right at me with this "Please help me" look on her face. I cried, kissed her on the cheek, and then went back out into the waiting room. Kris, his parents and I then went to the cafateria, we haden't eaten anything yet, so we got some breakfast. Feeling like crap I went back up to get some coffee and I see my mother. I"m so greatful she was there, she cheered me up a lot.
So... we waited. And we waited. The surgery was suppose to take no more than 4 hours. We ended up staying there for 7 hours straight. Finally, her doctor came out to tell us she was implanted. BUT, they asked me if she ever had meningitis. Very confused I told him no. Apparently she had excess bone so they had to do a lot more drilling than usual, and that could usually be caused by meningitis. So I told him "That's just the Truitt hard head" haha, couldn't help it. First Kris and I, the parents, got to go see her, she was so pitiful looking pretty much knocked out with a huge bandage on her head. Eventually everyone else could come and see her. About an hour or so later we could finally take her home. She slept pretty much the whole way back, three hours. The first two night were rough, she was given liquid codene and anibiotics. I ended up sleeping in her room for over a week, last night was actually my first night sleeping back in Kris' and my room. She bounced back pretty quick. We were told to try to get her to keep her bandage on for two days, but if she pulled it off it was okay as long as we kept the area dry. On the thrid night she took the bandage off.

Happy 3rd birthday to my Lillian!!! We're going to have some cupcakes tonight since it's her birthday but the real fun comes this Saturday, her party at Chuck E Cheese. :) I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures.
I started babysitting my sister's daughter today, though I agreed to stay the night over her house last night so she can adjust with going back to work. So I'm here, on her computer, Lilly is watching the Disney Channel and Raegan is asleep in her swing. She's so tiny. Sadly I can never get aim working here *sniff* so I can't talk to the friends I usually do in the morning (now you know why I'm not on).
Um... I guess I'll post again later tonight after Lilly has her cupcake smeared all over her face. :)
